"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

~ 2 Cor. 12:9

This is one of many verses I meditated on before I took my Ultrasound boards a few weeks ago. A 400-question test can be very daunting! I made the silly mistake the night before of looking at forums online of people talking about the test - and so many of them were talking about how many times they had failed it... Needless to say, that did not boost my confidence but only made it worse. I began to really freak out and realized I must stop studying and rely on God, not on my own strength. I found a list of verses to over and pray with. It really is amazing experiencing the peace only God can give. I went to bed with confidence and slept well - and slept through my alarm! This was another way God was showing me He was in control - I got out of the house and to Starbucks and to the testing center with plenty of time to spare. He granted me peace and clear thinking throughout my test and all went well! Thank you Lord for your grace! Here is the list of verses that I went over and thought were very encouraging... (I apologize that they are not in order) I hope they can be a blessing to you too!

Psalm 1:2-3; 37:4; 9:10; 28:8; 5:12; 94:19; 65:2
Isaiah 54:14,17; 41:10
Proverbs 10:24; 21:1,31
Hebrews 4:16
2 Cor. 12:9
James 1:5
1 Cor 2:5; 1:30
Luke 2:47, 52
Gen. 39:2
Ex. 33:14; 14:13,14
Phil. 3:6-7
2 Tim. 1:7
Deut 1:8; 3:22; 28:13
1 John 4:4
John 6:37
Jeremiah 29:11
Matt. 28:20

My Sonography Certificate!
That was my biggest test to finish and now I have a few more to get done. I hope to have them done by Christmas so I have begun to study once again. Being on second shift is nice right now because I can usually find time to study for at least a little bit each day in the morning.

Jason has been working and playing World of Warcraft. He has one character at level 85 now (the highest level) and has been doing fun stuff with him like raids, dungeons, and daily quests. Here is what Griorgi (the characters name) looks like with all his cool gear:

Update (10-14): Jason wanted a better picture of Griorgi up - so here it is ;)
He also has four other characters that he is working on leveling up. When I am not studying I play with him sometimes - I have one character. I like playing for the most part - I just don't get hooked like Jason does :) J also does a lot of things around here - he is better than me at finding things that need cleaned or laundry that needs done. I am glad that he has a lot of free time to do things that he likes to right now because I know that in a year when he starts school he won't have much time to do things for himself. I have been blessed with an amazing man!

Here is something silly we put into place last week:  a clean/dirty sign for our dishwasher! Yes, I know this is sad but we were having a hard time remembering if the dishes were clean or dirty and the sign really has helped! (We have a sad old dishwasher that we have to get the dishes pretty clear before putting them in ;)

Yesterday I got a new dress coat - I might be almost ready for it to be a little colder ;) But I can't complain about these 70 to 80 degree days!

I love the pleats in the back -
gives it more style than a plain peacoat

A few weeks ago we found out some somewhat disheartening news: that I am a cystic fibrosis carrier. What does this mean for us? Jason is a carrier as well which means that each of our future children will have a 25% chance of getting cystic fibrosis. We have quite a few years before we will have to think more in depth about this but for right now we know God is in control of everything and that He has a plan for us. If this means that one of our children will have CF I know that He will help us through and makes stronger in Him through it all. Learn more about cystic fibrosis here.

Well, thats it for now. We thankful for all of God's blessings in our lives and continue to trust in Him to guide us where and how He wants us to serve Him.
