Digital Project Life 2013: Weeks 40-52

I'm back with a huge post to wrap up the end of 2013. The last few months of the year brought some personal challenges for us. I left those weeks that I documented personal details out so you might notice several weeks missing. 2013 had its ups and downs but we are so grateful to the Lord for his blessings to us and look forward to what 2014 has to bring!

Week 40

Week 42

Week 47
Jason's sister, Sara, had her lung transplant surgery during this week.

Week 48
Since Sara was still in the hospital we had a small Thanksgiving celebration with Jason's parents at our apartment. To make things easy we ordered Cracker Barrel's Thanksgiving meal To-Go. It was delicious! I have never had such a relaxing Thanksgiving.

Week 49
Jason continued to visit Sara in the hospital several times a week. I am so happy for the pictures he took while he was there!

Week 50
Sara got discharged from the hospital this week! And, we got our Christmas decorations up. With everything going on we decided to keep things simple this year. We only put a tree up and a few other small things. Did you hear about my tree? I developed several Instagram photos from 2013 and clipped them to our tree. It was a great way to remember all that we are thankful for. I developed the pictures through Persnickety Prints and the inspiration came from their blog here.

Week 51
This week we celebrated Christmas together and then with Jason's family over the weekend. We were so happy that Sara could join us!

Christmas
I had so many pictures from Christmas day and eve that I decided to make a layout dedicated to Christmas. We had a lovely time with my family in Kokomo.

Week 52
On the first page of this week I included some of my favorite pictures from my sisters engagement photos that I took. I was totally nervous to do them but had a blast! I so love that C.S. Lewis quote on the second page, what a great quote to end the year with.

And that's a wrap on 2013! I have started my 2014 layouts and have changed up a few things. I will be sharing those layouts soon. Thanks for looking :)
